Develop a guise or pretext for hard-to-get information.
$150 per hour plus mileage and expenses for any and all types of pretexting or undercover activity in the San Francisco Bay Area, including but not limited to investigating for attorneys, outsourced SIUs, and AOE/COE workers' compensation investigation firms.
As an undercover investigator, I make direct contact with subjects and situations under a guise or pretext, which can help in locating elusive subjects, fraud detection, asset searches, and more. Â
Developing a long-term undercover scenario or short-term pretext provides a way to gather intelligence that can’t be otherwise obtained from searching records or conducting surveillance.
Pretexting or going undercover can be used to gain entry into sites where assets may be located, a debtor is suspected to be employed, an elusive defendant might be staying, where something deceptive is happening, or any other activities and conversations that will provide information and leads.
However, it should be noted that such methods can cross into illegal activity if they involve fraudulent misrepresentation or are used to access personal, private, or privileged information, such as banking records. A licensed private investigator will know this and proceed legally.
